Building Your Home With God's Wisdom

Updated: Mar 12

When you build your house with God’s wisdom, your house will be

sturdy. As King Solomon says, in Proverbs 9:1 “Wisdom hath built her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars.” God’s wisdom will hold you up! Just like “pillars” give a house that secure feeling. God’s wisdom will make you secure. There is no security for the

foolish. If you try to build your life without God, you will not have confidence. You will be very foolish. Foolishness will get you into trouble. You will not make wise choices. You will naturally do and say foolish things if you are not led by wisdom.

There was a man named, “Job”, in the bible long ago, who lost everything. His children, cattle, and his health in one day. God said through all of that, Job did not sin one time.

But his wife told him, “Job why don’t you curse God and die.” Job told her you talk like a foolish woman. Job had God’s wisdom. Job may have lost everything dear to him, but there is one thing that held him up through it all and that was God’s wisdom. King Solomon says in Proverbs 3:13, “Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. 14. For the merchandise (gain) of it, is better than the profit of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. 15. She is more precious than rubies and all the

things you can desire are not to be compared to her. 16. Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left-hand riches and honor. 17. Her ways are ways of pleasantness and peace. 18. She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her and happy is everyone that holds her fast. 19. The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

If you want your house to be built right, God’s Word tells us to seek wisdom. There was a time when God came to Solomon and asked him, “Solomon ask of me one thing and I will give it to thee.” Solomon asked for Wisdom to know God’s will. And that pleased the Lord and the Lord told him because thou hast asked not for the lives of thy enemies nor riches,

I will give you what you asked for and long life and riches.” If we take a good look at this country and our homes and be truly honest wouldn’t you say that most people seek money and vengeance on their enemies first? I think so. Are we truly building this Country and our schools and homes on God and his Word? Our lives cannot stand firm apart from God’s Word. Yes, we need money to make it from day to day. It cannot be the foundation we base our homes upon. Only Father God knows what we need. He can be trusted! Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:31, “Therefore take no thought saying, “What shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or Where shall we be clothed? 32. For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your Heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these things. 33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. 34. Take therefore no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself; Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” God knows what we need. But the most important thing we need is “Him”. Now is the time to be seeking him. Don’t wait until trouble.

"Don't Wait Until Trouble!

Oh! Don't wait until trouble

to bow your knee in prayer.

Call on the Lord now

while he is there.

He is good and he is awesome

and he just wants to love you so.

He wants to wrap his arms around you

his love for you to show.

Why wait until something happens

and then call on him to save?

Why not trust him now

and receive all on the cross that he gave?

Look to his Cross

you won't regret giving your life to him.

Don't wait until trouble

Don't drown in your sea of sin!

Many times our precious Lord

has knocked upon your heart.

He's wanted to come in

and give you a new start.

You didn't think you needed him.

You thought you were okay.

Actually, you knew you needed him,

but you'd say not today.

Don't wait until trouble,

to let him have his way.

Call on Jesus now while you can,

even if things are well.

for when trouble is coming

you never can tell.

Call on Jesus now

before it is too late.

If you don't receive him,

Hell is your sealed fate.

Don't wait until tomorrow,

because tomorrow may not come.

Death is sure to come

to each and every one.

We are not guaranteed

what tomorrow for us will be.

So, don't wait until tomorrow,

Look now to Calvary.
