You may be saying right now what does that picture and that verse have to do with home improvement? Well, it has everything to do with improving your house to make it a home. Most people get up every day, going to a job to make that paycheck thinking that is all life is about. They worry about the mortgage payment, the light bill, the water bill, the garbage bill, and the little everyday things a family needs to survive. People go through this life thinking they must stay in control of their lives. They get up every day worrying and struggling and their focus on retiring. We are taught at a young age that is all life is about. That's a lie! Our life is meant to be more than that!
We think as long as I have a job, paycheck coming in, and bills are paid then you are a "good" person, and must be pleasing God. You think that is all there is to keep your home together and your children happy, Most are rushing around every day not even thinking about God. Most are complacent when it comes to "spiritual" things. They believe they don't need God. They make themselves their god, doing whatever they want when they feel like it, not accounting to anyone, including God, our creator.
The main reason we were created was to be a worshipper of God. The one and only true God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Revelation 4:11 John says, "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." KJV Bible. We were created to please God first and give him the glory of our lives. Many people do not realize we all will give an account to God Almighty of how we have lived our lives on earth. Romans 14:11, 12 says, "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. 12. So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God." KJV Bible. This here has everything to do with home improvement!
When we individually live our lives to please God, out of love and respect for him, and get back to having a healthy Fear of him our homes, and Country will be blessed! Proverbs 1:7 King Solomon says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom." KJV Bible. When we realize God sees everything we do and say, we will give an account to him one day, there will be less striving, violence, fighting, and abuse! People think they can do whatever "they" feel like doing, and no one sees them because they are in the privacy of their own homes. They think their evil deeds are hidden because of the walls. If Walls Could Talk how much evil, perversion, violence, and abuse would they expose? People, all over the world fail to realize that God sees behind those walls! It doesn't matter that the walls can't talk, what God sees in secret he will reward openly, whether good or bad. Matthew 6:6 Jesus says, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to the Father which is in secret, and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." Sadly, though, not many people are doing that! When God looks down what do you think he mostly sees? When he looks upon the world now is it just as in the days of Noah? Jesus says, Matthew 7:13 "Enter ye in at the strait gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it." KJV Bible.
There are a few who God sees praying to him in secret. But they are not all he sees. "The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and good." Proverbs 15: 3 KJV Bible. If you are one of those who think the walls are hiding what you do behind them, think again. God is beholding the evil and the good. You may be one of those people who abuse your spouse or your children! You may be abusive with your words. You may be physically, emotionally, or sexually, abusing your family members, God sees! They may have to walk on eggshells around your evil self every day. You may violently beat on your spouse or your children, it doesn't matter that the walls can't talk, God sees you! You will give an account one day! Are you one who is sexually abusing a child? Do you think nobody will know? Jesus says, Luke 12: 2, 3 "For there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed neither hid that shall not be known. 3. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in 'closets (private rooms) shall be proclaimed upon the housetops." KJV Bible.
You may be saying I don't care what Jesus says, who is he that I have to care what he says? Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World. Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. He is our soon-coming King! He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is our only way to Heaven.
The Word of God says, "Repent and Be Baptized and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." That means turn from your sin and be baptized in water as Jesus did, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3
Proverbs 28: 13 says, "He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but he that confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy." KJV.
Whosoever Shall Call Upon the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ Shall Be Saved."
Call upon Jesus to save you, confess your sins, and ask him to forgive you! He already knows about your sins. He took them to the cross. Accept His forgiveness, and his love, and mercy today! Jesus Loves You!
